To find a school, it is easiest to use the postcode. If this is not known you may find the name search frustrating if the school is one of many with the same name (eg. St Joseph's).
Inspection reports from September 2008 onwards are published on the Department of RE alternative website
RE-Live.
Inspections from September 2009
From September 2009 there is a new Framework for Inspection similar to that which is used by Ofsted on section 5 inspections. This requires a new self-evaluation form based upon the framework so that schools may contribute directly to the inspection process. It is not expected that schools which are inspected in the autumn term 2009 will have completed the new SEF.
Ofsted have moved to shorter notice inspections (1-2 days). In order to retain simultaneous inspection in the secondary sector, it will be necessary for schools in the diocese to deposit their SEFs electronically with the department as they do for Ofsted. Details of how this will operate have been communicated to secondary headteachers.
The Framework for Inspection and the Self Evaluation Form can be found on the RE Live site. Your schools will have been provided with a password and instructions.
